A re-creation of the
AC MK11 289 COBRA - Circa 1963
Price - POA

Henry & Ford are pleased to be able to offer this beautifully handcrafted re-creation of the iconic AC MK11 289 Cobra, leaf spring model, currently under construction in Queenstown, New Zealand.

The vehicle is now being prepared to be shipped back to the United Kingdom and completed in either two options:

1 - Road Car
2 - In Race trim with FIA papers

The vehicle has been faithfully replicated from the ground up by a Master Craftsman, wherever possible utilising original components, from the AC Factory, including front and rear suspension, fibreglass footwells and boot tray.
The engine unit is a hi-po block, totally rebuilt by Roy McDonalds from Dunedin, it has been bench run and an approx.: 330 Hp was noted

The correct bell-housing has been sourced and fitted to a T10 gearbox.
Working from original Cobras in the UK, and by sourcing some original internal panels, a complete set of paper templates/jigs and drawings were produced to faithfully replicate a buck/formers in New Zealand, which has been beautifully hand crafted by Barney Tansley of Tansley Panels, Queenstown, New Zealand.
At this point in the construction, a roll bar and harness points were fitted to allow the vehicle to qualify for FIA registration
